Baie di Fethiye e Göcek: Luoghi da Esplorare in Barca

Le 12 baie di Göcek, Ölüdeniz, Valle delle Farfalle e Isola di San Nicola — tutta la bellezza della regione di Fethiye.

Fethiye and its surroundings are home to Turkey's most beautiful natural bays. From the 12 Islands to Ölüdeniz, from the Göcek bays to Butterfly Valley — in this guide we've compiled the must-see bays of the Fethiye region.

Göcek's 12 Bays

Each of these bays around Göcek offers a different atmosphere:

  • Tersane Island: Venetian-era shipyard ruins. Historic atmosphere and clear water.
  • Cleopatra's Cove: Famous for its legendary beauty. Shallow clear sea, white sand.
  • Bedri Rahmi Cove: The frescoes on the rocks are part of art history.
  • Yassıca Islands: Perfect for snorkelling and diving. Shallow and clear.
  • Boynuz Bükü: Calm and sheltered. Ideal for long-term anchoring.

Ölüdeniz and Belcekız Beach

Ölüdeniz, rated among the world's most beautiful beaches, is a perfect destination for arrival by boat. You cannot enter the lagoon by boat (it is a protected area), but you can anchor on the open sea side. Take an inflatable dinghy or lifeboat to shore to explore Belcekız beach.

Butterfly Valley

This valley near Ölüdeniz can only be reached by sea or mountain path. In spring it is home to hundreds of butterfly species. A unique nature experience with a small beach and waterfall.

St. Nicholas Island (Gemile)

A historic island with 4th-century Byzantine churches and the legendary tomb of Santa Claus (St. Nicholas). 5 nautical miles from Fethiye. Moor to a buoy in the bay and explore the island.

Recommended Route from Ölüdeniz to Fethiye

Morning departure from Ölüdeniz → Stop at Butterfly Valley (2 hours) → Gemile Island (lunch) → Göcek bays (afternoon) → Fethiye Marina (evening). Total time: 6–7 hours.
