Catamaran or Gulet? A Comparison
Comfort, stability, capacity and budget differences between catamaran and gulet — which suits you?
Catamaran or gulet for your holiday? Both are great, but differ in experience, comfort and budget. This comparison helps you choose.
Gulet
The traditional wooden Turkish boat — a "floating hotel" with wide decks, many cabins and crew service.
- Pros: Large capacity (6–24), crewed comfort, authentic atmosphere, economical group sharing.
- Cons: Slower, mostly motor cruising.
Catamaran
A twin-hull sail/motor boat — modern, with great stability and wide living space.
- Pros: No rolling (good against seasickness), enters shallow water, large sun deck, quiet sailing.
- Cons: Pricier marina berths, limited capacity (6–10).
